Spring Reset for Nurse Moms: Sis… It’s Time to Clean House

If you’re on my side of the world, I hope you had an amazing Spring Break!

Listen… this year I did something different.
I slowed my pace ALL the way down. And when I tell you it was a perfect mix of rest, fun, and productivity? Baby… it did what needed to be DONE.

Activities (check)
Rest (check..check)
Peace (check mate!)

And now? I feel refreshed, reset, and ready to pour back into you, sis.

Spring Has Sprung… Let’s Talk About a REAL Reset

We’re not just cleaning closets this season.
We’re cleaning habits.
We’re cleaning mindsets.
We’re cleaning distractions.

Because let me tell you something that sat me ALL the way down:

 “The mountain is you.”

Whew.
That right there is a whole sermon.

Sis… What’s Really Holding You Back?

Let’s be honest.

It’s not always the job.
Not always the kids.
Not always the schedule.

Most times?

It’s us.

It’s the procrastination.
It’s the fear.
It’s the “I’ll start next week” energy.
It’s the scarcity mindset whispering: “What if it doesn’t work?” ….“What if I fail?”

Meanwhile… success is sitting right on the other side of the thing you don’t want to do.

You Can’t Receive More If You Don’t Steward What You Have

Let’s go a little deeper.

You want:

  • the bigger house
  • the better schedule
  • the promotion
  • the peace
  • the overflow

But sis… if we’re not nurturing what we already have… how can God trust us with more?

“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much.” — Luke 16:10 (NIV)

If the soil isn’t cared for… it can’t produce fruit.

So I have to ask you:

Are you taking care of what’s already in your hands?

The Truth You Might Not Want to Hear (But Need To)

You’re not stuck.
You’re standing behind an open gate.

Read that again.

The door isn’t locked.
The opportunity isn’t gone.

You just haven’t moved yet.

And sis… you are WAY too resourceful to be playing small.

You’re a mom AND a nurse — you problem-solve for a living!
You know how to pivot, adjust, and make things shake in high-pressure situations.

So why are you shrinking when it comes to YOU?

3 Practical Steps to Kickstart Your Spring Reset

Let’s get into some action — simple, doable, and no overwhelm.

Step 1: Write Down 3 Targets

Grab your notebook.

Create 3 columns.
Each column = ONE target.

Keep it clear and specific.

Step 2: Break Each Goal Into 3 First Steps

Not the whole plan.
Just the FIRST three moves.

Example:
Target: Get healthier
Steps:

  • Plan meals 3 days ahead
  • Drink water before coffee
  • Walk 3x this week

Small steps create momentum.

Step 3: Set a Realistic Date

Not “someday.”
Not “when life slows down” (because… when does that happen?)

Set a date.

Deadlines create discipline.

Reflection Questions (Take It to the Journal)

If you need a journal, check out my journals on my instagram page @nursemomfaith

  • What have I been avoiding lately?
  • Where am I letting fear or comfort hold me back?
  • What am I asking God for that I’m not preparing for?
  • What is ONE step I can take today?

Scripture to Sit With (NIV)

“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.” — Proverbs 16:3 (NIV)

Sis, you don’t have to figure it all out.

You just have to MOVE.

My Prayer for you this Week

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for all of your goodness and provision. Father, I ask that you continue to bless my sister reading this post today, provide her with the strength to move forward and walk in her purpose. Please provide her with comfort so that she no longer is walking in fear but it is comfortable in the discomfort because as you know, YOU are in control! In your name we pray, amen!

You got this sis!

With love,

Sanjé
