Post at a Glance!
Feeling overwhelmed this holiday season? Here’s how to stay focused, balanced, and faith-filled as a nursing student or new nurse. Learn to honor your study time AND your joy , because life itself is a gift from God.
Let’s Begin!
Hey girl! Can we talk about how that extra hour from daylight savings was right on time? I don’t know about you, but I definitely needed that extra rest!
As we step into the holiday season, I wanted to share a quick reminder about balance and focus especially for my nursing students and new grads out there.
This week’s topic actually came from one of my fabulous readers (thank you for the DM)! She asked, “What’s your strategy for staying on track during the holidays and end of the semester?”
Honestly… if I could go back in time, I’d tell my younger self to extend more grace. I used to push myself so hard , which ended up in me neglecting my own needs and spending little time with my family and friends. I thought the only way to succeed was to grind nonstop.
Fast forward to now, my advice is simple: stick to your study schedule and when you’re done, you’re done!
The time you’re not studying? That’s your life and it’s meant to be enjoyed. Be present. Laugh with your people. Go to that holiday dinner. Rest without guilt.
Nursing school should shape you, not isolate you. You don’t have to put yourself under a rock and “reappear” when you graduate. You’ll see, from your first clinical to your first job, that life itself is the biggest gift of all.
So this holiday season, remember: discipline is important, but so is joy.
Rooted & Resilient Reminder
This season, let grace be your guide. When the deadlines feel heavy and the to-do list is long, pause and breathe. Remember that even in the busyness, God’s peace is available to you. Stay rooted in gratitude and grounded in faith because when you keep Him at the center, everything else begins to fall into place.
Have a fabulous week, girly!!
