Post at a Glance:
Feeling overwhelmed as a new nurse and mom? Use this faith-based monthly reset and self-audit to reflect, refocus, and protect your peace. Encouragement, systems, and scripture for Nurse Moms.
Welcome!
Another week to crush our goals and move closer to the life we’ve been praying for.
If you’re new here — welcome to Rooted and Resilient, your soft place to land after those 12-hour shifts, messy mom mornings, and “Lord give me strength” kind of days.
I’m Sanjé… your favorite Nurse Mom bestie.
And let me tell you something straight:
These careers?
They are not for the weak.
Nursing will stretch you.
Motherhood will humble you.
Life will test you.
So we need a space that pours back into us.
This blog is that space.
A place where Nurse Moms can:
- grow spiritually
- protect their peace
- build real-life systems
- and remember we’re women first, not just caregivers
As always — take what you need, leave what you don’t, and come back anytime for faith-filled encouragement.
March Check-In: The Quarter 1 Self-Audit
Sis… it’s already March.
Quarter 1 is almost over.
How are we feeling?
Not “surviving.”
Not “busy.”
But really… how are you doing?
Every month, I do a quick self-audit to stay grounded and intentional. It keeps me honest. It keeps me growing. And honestly? It keeps me sane.
Let’s do it together.
Grab your planner, journal, or a piece of paper.
Step 1: Celebrate 3 Wins
Yes..we celebrate around here!
Big or small. They count.
For me? I stopped yelling during chaotic mornings …and girrlll… when I tell you the stress difference is unreal?
Game. Changer.
Sometimes growth looks like softer voices and slower mornings.
Not perfection. Just progress.
Step 2: Choose One Area to Improve
Just one.
Not 10.
Not your whole life.
One thing.
For me?
Bedtime.
Listen… I’ve got books waiting to be read…
Then somehow Netflix whispers my name…
And suddenly it’s midnight.
Then I wake up sluggish and grumpy.
Classic self-sabotage.
Sis, exhaustion will steal your joy faster than anything.
We deserve rest too.
Step 3: Create a Simple Action Plan
Remember:
We don’t quit when systems fail.
We pivot.
Maybe that looks like:
- setting a 9:30 pm phone alarm
- prepping lunches the night before
- praying on the drive home
- or saying “no” to one extra shift
Small systems = big peace.
Verse for the Week
“I can do all this through Him who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13 (NIV)
Not through hustle.
Not through caffeine.
Not through willpower.
Through Him.
Because Nurse Mom life?
We are absolutely leaning on Jesus daily.
Weekly Affirmation
I am rooted in faith, resilient in pressure, and equipped for this season.
God strengthens me for every role I carry.
