Sis, It’s Valentine’s Day… Now What?

Heyyyy beautiful!!!

It’s Friday AND Valentine’s Day, and if you’re single and or a mom, you might be feeling a mix of emotions today. Excitement? Meh. Annoyance? Maybe. Ready to buy your own chocolate? Absolutely!

But before you roll your eyes at all the red hearts and teddy bears (because, same! ), let’s take a moment to flip the script. Because Valentine’s Day is not just for couples—it’s a day about LOVE. And love? Oh honey, it’s YOUR birthright.

God’s Love > Any Love

The world will have you thinking that love is only found in romantic relationships—but God? GOD has been lavishing love on you since before you were even born.

“I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.” — Jeremiah 31:3

That’s right. Everlasting. Unfailing. Unshakable. No situationship, ghosting, or “wyd?” text at midnight. Just pure, divine, never-ending love.

Sis, You Are Not Waiting… You’re Living

Let’s get one thing straight: You are not “waiting” for love—you are living in it RIGHT NOW.

You are loved. Period. No relationship status required.
You are whole. God didn’t create you as a “half” looking for another half.
You are chosen. Whether single or married, your worth is the same.

So today, don’t sit around feeling like you’re missing out. Instead, ask yourself: How can I RECEIVE the love God has already given me?

Maybe that looks like:
Treating yourself (because you deserve nice things!)
Spending time with people who uplift you
Giving love freely—not just in romance, but in friendship, kindness, and faith

A Special Shoutout to My Single Moms!

Listen, sis. If your Valentine this year is a tiny human calling you “Mommy,” you are already experiencing one of the purest loves on earth.

“Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from Him.” — Psalm 127:3

Yes, being a single mother on Valentine’s Day can feel lonely sometimes—especially when you’re out here being everything to everybody. But you are not alone, and you are not lacking. Your love story is unfolding in real-time, and it starts with the love you pour into your child AND yourself.

So today?
Give yourself grace.
 Know that God sees you.
Understand that you are already deeply loved.

Whether your day is filled with sticky hugs, hand-drawn “I love you” notes, or a quiet moment of peace once bedtime hits, know that you are cherished, you are seen, and your love is more than enough.

The Love You Desire? God Put It There for a Reason

Now, if you’re longing for marriage, that’s a beautiful thing! God placed that desire in you, and He’s more than capable of fulfilling it. But here’s the key: Don’t idolize the promise over the One who made it.

“Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” — Psalm 37:4

When you prioritize God’s love first, you’re not out here settling for crumbs or forcing something that’s not meant for you. You walk in peace, joy, and trust.

So Happy Valentine’s Day, Sis!

Whether you’re getting a bouquet from a secret admirer (aka yourself LOL ), spending time with your kids, your girls, or just enjoying a quiet evening with Jesus, know this:

You are deeply loved.
 You are not behind.
 You are already whole.

And that? Is worth celebrating.
