Post at a Glance!
Reflection season is here, sis! As nurse moms starting your nursing career, now is the perfect time to pause, pray, reflect, and begin gentle habit stacking so you can enter 2026 grounded, confident, and aligned with God’s purpose. Let’s walk this out together!
Hey Sis!
I hope you’re doing well. Whether you’re deep in nursing school or fresh into your nursing career, AND balancing life as a mom… I want you to know that I see you. And even more important…GOD sees you.
This week we’re starting something special:
Our Reflection Series + Habit Stacking Journey! Because we are not waiting until the ball drops to think about our lives. We are preparing NOW , spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and practically.
Why Reflection Matters, Especially for Nurse Moms
Being a mom is a full-time calling.
Being a nurse is a full-time calling.
And being both? Whew. That’s ministry, strength, and sacrifice wrapped in one.
Reflection gives you space to:
- Acknowledge how far you’ve come
- Honor your growth
- Release guilt
- Reset your focus
- Realign with purpose
Reflection isn’t weakness. It’s wisdom.
“Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.”
— Psalm 139:23 (NIV)
Reflection isn’t about shame.
It’s about letting God lovingly show us where we’re growing and where we need gentle adjustment.
Reflection Questions for This Week
Take time in your quiet moments…maybe before work, after the kids sleep, or during a peaceful cup of coffee and reflect on these:
1) What did this year teach me about myself?
Did you learn resilience? Boundaries? Strength? Emotional awareness?
Even the hard moments were teachers.
2) Where did I feel most overwhelmed… and why?
This helps you identify:
- burnout triggers
- emotional drains
- situations where more support or boundaries are needed
3) Where did I see God’s faithfulness?
Because sis, GOD was there.
Even in tears. Even in exhaustion. Even in those cry in the bathroom moments.
Let’s Start Habit Stacking for 2026
We aren’t doing “New Year, New Me”.
We’re doing:
- Healed woman energy
- Growing woman energy
- Disciplined but gentle woman energy
Habit stacking simply means starting small and building rhythm, not pressure.
Gentle Habits You Can Start Stacking NOW
Morning Grounding Habit
Before scrolling. Before rushing. Before pouring into everyone else.
- Whisper a prayer
- Breathe
- Thank GOD for one thing
Even 2 minutes matters.
Reflection + Prayer Habit
At least once this week, sit down and journal:
- What am I proud of?
- What do I want to grow in?
- What am I surrendering to God?
Nurse Self-Care Habit
Pick ONE intentional caring action for yourself, here are some examples:
- Rest without guilt
- Stretch
- Drink water
- Take a walk
- Book that therapy session
- Say “no” when needed
Scripture to Encourage Your Journey
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
— Galatians 6:9 (NIV)
Sis, you are sowing seeds right now. Into your future. Your children. Your career. Your healing. Your faith.
And GOD honors every step.
Recap, Sis
This season is about alignment, not hustle.
Clarity, not chaos.
Grace, not perfection.
We’re building slowly.
We’re building intentionally.
We’re building with God.
My Prayer for YOU this Week!
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for every nurse mom reading this. Thank You for the strength You’ve given her, the heart You placed inside her, and the purpose You are calling her into. As she reflects, give her clarity. As she grows, give her peace. Help her release guilt, overwhelm, and self-doubt. Teach her to rest, to trust You, and to believe she is worthy of care too. Cover her home, her children, her mind, and her career. Guide her steps as she prepares for the year ahead.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Have a blessed week and Happy Holiday!
Sanjé
