Mid-Year Check-In: Reflect, Reset, and Realign

We’re halfway through 2025, and it’s time for a grace-filled audit, Nurse Mom style. This blog post helps you reset your 2025 Resolutions—without guilt. Let’s reflect, realign, and create systems that work!

Hey Sis! Can you believe it?! We’re halfway through 2025!

Now before you start spiraling into the “I didn’t hit my goals yet” mindset—let me stop you right there. This is NOT that type of blog. We don’t do shame here, boo. This space is about love, grace, and realignment.

Let’s be honest—Nurse Moms are the queens of doing all the things for everyone else, and then beating ourselves up for not hitting every single personal target on our lists.

“There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” — Romans 8:1 (NIV)

That’s the energy we are giving over here!

Grace over grind. Structure over shame. Community over isolation.

Let’s Do a Mid-Year Check-In Together

So here’s what we’re gonna do, sis. Grab a piece of paper (or your iPad, or your dry erase board—whatever makes you feel productive).

At the very top, I want you to write down your “WHY.”

Why do you want to finish 2025 strong?
Why do you want to grow in this season?
Why are you even reading this blog post right now?

Hold that WHY close.

Now Draw 3 Circles

Label them with your three target areas for this year.
For me, it’s:

  • Spiritual
  • Finance
  • Health

Choose whatever speaks to you. Your circles could say “Motherhood,” “Career,” “Mental Wellness,” or “Self-Love.” This is your audit.

Within Each Circle, Add 3 Bullet Points:

Let’s break it down together:

1. The Target (What You Want to Do)

In the “Health” circle, my target is:

  • Plan meals daily
  • Sleep 8 hours each night
  • Have a consistent AM/PM routine

2. Where You Are (Honest Check-In)

  • I track my meals daily (yay!)
  • I don’t always plan ahead on weekends (it’s giving lazy Saturday vibes lol)
  • I sleep 7–8 hours, AM routine is solid, PM routine… not so much

3. The System (How You’ll Get There)

Now THIS is the game-changer. Instead of wishing or willing your goals into existence, you build a system that supports your growth.

Through prayer and reflection, I realized something:
I self-sabotage when I don’t have structure.
It’s like that inner defiant toddler is like, “You’re not watching me? Bet. I’m going rogue.” 😅

So what did I do?

  • I go grocery shopping on Thursdays
  • I meal prep on Fridays (while watching Netflix—yes ma’am!)
  • I pack my snacks and lunch for the weekend ahead

That way, on-the-spot decision making doesn’t throw me off course (even when soft-serve ice cream calls my name… no ma’am, not today).

Why This Works

“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.” — Proverbs 16:3 (NIV)

Sis, when you build systems that honor your energy, your season, and your calling—you’re not just surviving. You’re being rooted and resilient in every area of your life.

Accountability = Secret Sauce

Once you’re done, take a picture of your paper and send it to a friend. Or better yet, call someone you trust and walk them through it.

Why? Because we don’t heal or grow in isolation. You’re more likely to reach your goals when someone’s cheering you on.

So who’s your accountability partner? Drop a comment below or let me know on Instagram—I’m rooting for you always!

Before you Go!

You’re not behind. You’re not too late.
Sis, you’re right on time.
2025 still has so much goodness waiting for you.

Let’s finish the year with grace, strategy, and God as the foundation.

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”— Galatians 6:9 (NIV)

Prayer for the Mid-Year Reset

Lord, I thank You for the sister reading this right now. I pray that she is reminded that she is never too late, never too far gone, and always in alignment when she leans on You. Help her build systems that support her peace, health, and purpose. Help her release shame and walk boldly toward her goals. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Have a blessed week Sis!!!
