How to Get Unstuck and Build a System for Success

Happy Monday Sis!

Let’s talk about getting unstuck! You know that feeling—where you’re constantly grinding, but the finish line keeps moving? It’s like no matter what we accomplish, we’re still “not enough.” Well, enough of that! It’s time to take control and actually see our progress.

Step 1: Define Your Milestone—What Does Success Look Like?

One reason we feel stuck is because we don’t take the time to define what success actually looks like. Instead of celebrating our wins, we move the goalpost before we even acknowledge the progress we’ve made.

Let’s change that! Instead of setting a vague goal like I want to lose weight or I want to save more money, we need to be specific about our milestones. Think of it like this:

✨ Milestone One: Lose 2 pounds in one week by walking 10,000 steps every day.
✨ Milestone Two: Save $50 this month by setting up automatic transfers from my paycheck to my savings account.
✨ Milestone Three: Spend more time with God by waking up 15 minutes earlier for devotionals.

See the pattern? Each milestone includes an action item to help you stay on track. Because let’s be real, Sis—”faith without works is DEAD” (James 2:26). You can’t just say you want to grow; you have to move with intention!

Step 2: Create Micro-Triggers for Success

Ever notice how some habits stick while others fade out? That’s because habits need triggers—small things that signal your brain to take action without overthinking it. Here’s how you can use micro-triggers to set yourself up for success:

✨ Want to drink more water? Keep a full bottle on your nightstand so it’s the first thing you reach for in the morning.
✨ Trying to read more? Place a book on your pillow so you remember to read before bed.
✨ Need to work out? Lay your workout clothes next to your bed so you don’t have to dig through drawers.
✨ Want to pray more? Set a phone alarm labeled “Talk to God, Sis” at the same time every day.

These tiny shifts remove friction, making it easier to follow through!

Step 3: Lean on Your Community—You Don’t Have to Do This Alone

Accountability is everything! God didn’t create us to do life alone. When you surround yourself with like-minded women who encourage, challenge, and celebrate with you, success feels lighter and more possible.

✨ Find an accountability partner or small group.
✨ Share your goals with trusted friends or family.
✨ Follow people who inspire you to stay consistent (shameless plug: follow me on Instagram @rooted.resilientfaith!😉).
