Post at a Glance!
Encouragement for Nurse Moms navigating early nursing careers. Let’s reflect on 2025, celebrate your wins, create faith-filled goals, and build simple systems to thrive in 2026. This blog post includes reflection prompts, habit stacking guidance, scripture, and a prayer for the year ahead!
Let’s Close Out 2025 Like the Queens We Are!
Sis… go grab you a cozy corner.
A warm drink.
A journal or notebook.
A pen that glides.
And if you’re extra like me… grab those highlighters too.
If you’ve got your 2026 planner already, bring her along! Because today, we are going to slow down, breathe, and REFLECT before we RUN into the next year. As nurse moms, life stays busy! Between work, motherhood, faith, healing, and simply trying to remember to drink water… whew but…. listen to me, sis, we don’t rush into new seasons without honoring the one we just walked through.
Before We Look Forward… Let’s Reflect on 2025
This year stretched you. Grew you. Challenged you. Blessed you. Taught you. Strengthened you.
Take a few minutes with these reflection prompts:
Reflect on this:
- What did 2025 teach you about yourself?
- Where did you grow emotionally, spiritually, or professionally?
- What were some unexpected blessings this year?
- Where did you struggle, and what did you learn from it?
- How did God meet you this year, even in the hard moments?
Let this be honest. No guilt. No shame. Just truth and grace.
Now Let’s Celebrate, Because You DID That Sis!
We don’t just reflect, we CELEBRATE. As Nurse Moms, we rarely pause long enough to honor ourselves, but NOT TODAY!!
Cause for Celebration!!
- What are three moments from 2025 that you are most proud of?
- What did you overcome this year that you didn’t think you would?
- What new skills or confidence did you gain in nursing or motherhood?
- What small wins meant the most to you?
This is your moment to hype yourself up, unapologetically.
Now… Let’s Dream and Build 2026 with INTENTION
For 2026, write down four milestones you want to reach this year.
Not fluffy goals. REAL goals. Specific. Meaningful. Aligned with who God is shaping you to be.
Examples could include:
- Strengthening your walk with God
- Advancing your nursing career
- Building healthier routines
- Healing emotionally and mentally
- Becoming more present in motherhood
Write them like declarations. Bold. Confident. Faith-filled.
Let’s Break It Down: Habit Stacking for Nurse Moms
We are NOT doing chaos.
We are NOT doing burnout.
We are NOT doing survival mode.
We are doing systems, structure, and peace.
Quarter 1: January – March
Take Goal #1
Break it down into weekly steps and daily habits.
This is habit stacking aka building small actions that create big change.
Examples:
- Want a stronger prayer life? Stack prayer to your morning coffee.
- Want better health? Stack water intake to your first break at work.
- Want to advance professionally? Stack daily learning to bedtime.
Quarter 2: April – June
Take Goal #2
Break it down.
Build your weekly system.
Stay consistent.
Quarter 3: July – September
Take Goal #3 and repeat!
Quarter 4: October – December
Add in Goal #4 and repeat!
Please be sure to celebrate all of your wins!!!!
As the year progresses, you won’t feel overwhelmed. You should feel guided, prepared, and supported.
Meditate on this
“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.”
Proverbs 16:3 (NIV)
My Prayer for You and 2026
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for carrying my sis through 2025, through the highs, the tears, the victories, and the lessons. Thank You for sustaining her as a mother, a nurse, a woman of faith, and Your daughter. Lord, as she steps into 2026, let peace lead her, wisdom guide her, and faith strengthen her. Bless her goals, steady her spirit, protect her home, and surround her with favor. May this be a year of clarity, healing, growth, and joy. We commit 2026 into Your hands.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
I’m sooo Proud of you Sis!
Sis… you did so much this year. You grew. You survived. You flourished. You’re stronger than you think and more capable than you know. 2026 isn’t ready for the greatness God has placed inside you, but you are absolutely ready for it~
I’m so proud of you. Let’s crush 2026 together!
With Love,
Sanjé
