Hey Sis!!!
We’ve made it to the weekend, and I don’t know about you, but I’m still floating on the reflections from this past week. February is all about love, and while the world has us looking outward for validation, I want us to turn inward—to God, to ourselves, and to the life He has beautifully designed for us.
One of my favorite scriptures, Jeremiah 29:11, reminds us: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Sis, you were never meant to just exist—you were meant to thrive. So let’s talk about how we can truly embrace the life God has given us and fall in love with it every single day.
The Foundation: Seeing Yourself Through God’s Eyes
Before we can love anything in this life, we have to love ourselves the way God does. No more shrinking, no more doubting, and absolutely no more believing the enemy’s lies that you’re not enough. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and that alone is reason enough to walk boldly in the life God has designed for you.
A Few Ways to Start Loving the Life You’re Living:
- Practice Daily Gratitude: Start and end each day by thanking God for at least three things. Big or small, recognizing His blessings shifts your mindset.
- Design Your Life with Intention: Inspired by Design Your Life by Bill Burnett, take inventory of what’s working in your life and what’s not. Where can you invite God in to guide you toward purpose and joy?
- Let Go of the “Perfect” Life Myth: Sis, the life God has for you is already full of purpose. Let go of comparison and lean into what’s real.
- Create God-Centered Practices: Whether it’s morning prayer, worship playlists, or journaling your God-led goals, these little habits keep you grounded in faith.
- Pour into Your Community: Love multiplies when we share it. Be intentional about loving on your people—your children, family, and friends.
Weekend Assignment: A Love Letter to Your Life
Here’s your challenge for the weekend: Take out a journal (or start a new note in your phone) and write a love letter to your life. Thank God for where you are, acknowledge the struggles you’ve overcome, and speak life over what’s ahead. Start with:
Dear God, thank You for the life You’ve given me…
When you start seeing your life as a masterpiece God is continuously painting, it becomes easier to fall in love with it—flaws and all.
Sis, my prayer for you this weekend is that you step into love—not just the kind you give to others but the love that comes from truly embracing the life God designed for you. Let’s walk boldly in faith and live a life we don’t need to escape from.
Love you, and I’ll see you next week! 💛✨
